Hi Max,
Since you tried other avenues, here's another approach:
I'd use File Manager to create a directory on your HD, pull install.exe and
target.pvl over there, go to a DOS box and run install within that directory.
That should do it.
This worked yesterday for somebody else, and I've done it myself albeit all
within DOS.
