True, $4.80 is outragous. It is, however, less outrageous than CIS has
been charging.

Easy mail transmission, especially when you're on the road. AOL can serve
the same purpose, but AOL's lowest base monthly rate is higher than CIS.
Many more vendors seem to have a presence on CIS than on other information
services. (Yes, I'd love to see them all on the net ... but, for now, CIS
is where they are.)
Also, CIS software has a mail Outbox (like the AOL software), as well as
a mail Inbox. This should allow offline reading of received messages
(which the AOL software does not easily allow).
